These are the luckiest lotto numbers in the UK

Common numbers also included 44, 33, 50, 13, 20 and 53, as they also appeared quite often in the all-important jackpot draws. 14, 46, 21 and 38 also appeared a similar amount of times, and so did 30, 34, 11 and 23. Interestingly, many deem the number 13 unlucky, but its average jackpot value is £5,660,847, which isn’t bad at all.

The number 8 doesn’t appear as often as those mentioned above, but after analysing its average jackpot value and seeing it’s worth £9,585,732 and that it was the highest average jackpot value during the study, means it’s a number that some will now go out and include in their selections more often as a result.

However, this research provides insight into whether your numbers need adapting to those favoured by the draw.

Knowing which numbers appear more often than others, especially in jackpot draws, is an advantage in some respects. But then, on the other hand, the lottery remains a game of chance, like many other forms of gambling. Maybe a study over a longer period would be more revealing?
