Frustration in Washington is reaching boiling point as the US President has hit out at Vladimir Putin for “talking nice then bombs everybody.”
Speaking on Air Force One Donald Trump who has made every effort to help bring peace to the negotiating table has said there is “a problem.”
Trump told reporters, “Putin really surprised a lot of people, he talks nice and then he bombs everybody in the evening. So there’s a little bit of a problem there. I don’t like it.”
He added, “We basically are going to send them Ukraine various pieces of very sophisticated military.”
Ukrainian MP praised Trump’s announcement saying it is “very much welcome.”
Kira Rudik told The Telegraph: “Even now the promises of President Trump to give Ukraine additional air defence systems, weapons or ammunition is very much welcome because it allows us to live another day.
“It allows us to fight.”
She added, “We really hope the promises of President Trump will become a reality soon.

Trump has previously spoken of his friendship with Putin and he has made it his diplomatic mission to end the war.
One of Trump’s top allies has warned Putin he has made a “miscalculation” trying to “play” the US President.
Senator Lindsey Graham said, “Putin made a miscalculation here. For six months President Trump tried to entice Putin to the table.
“The attacks have gone up, not down. One of the biggest miscalculations Putin has made is to play Trump.
“And you just watch — in the coming days and weeks there’s going to be a massive effort to get Putin to the table.”
Trump is facing demands from Congress to put in place harsher sanctions on Russia and their oil industry and to target countries who help Putin financially.
Graham said, “The big offender here is China, India and Brazil.
“My goal is to end this war. And the only way you are going to end this war is to get people who prop up Putin — make them choose between the American economy and helping Putin.”
Trump’s envoy Keith Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on Monday to discuss security and any possible sanctions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff said on Telegram, “We welcome the special representative of the US President, Keith Kellogg, to Ukraine.
“Defence, strengthening security, weapons, sanctions, protecting our people, strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the US – many topics for conversation.
“Russia does not want to cease fire. Peace through strength is the principle of US President Donald Trump and we support this approach.”
The Ukrainian President’s office in Kyiv said that Kellogg and Zelensky were “focused on the overall front-line situation” at the meeting and discussed the “needs of Ukrainian warriors.”
The office said in a statement, “The parties also discussed joint drone production, the possibility of direct purchases of Ukrainian UAVs by the United States, and the potential for arms procurement in co-operation with European partners.”
