Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching on Monday as the major averages posted a second straight winning day, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Housing in the U.S.A. February housing starts come out Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. ET. Consensus estimates from Dow Jones call for a 1% increase, reaching 1.38 million. CNBC TV’s Diana Olick will be on the case when the numbers come out. The SPDR S & P Homebuilders ETF (XHB) is 22% from the Nov. 25 high. Cavco Industries , Champion Homes and Johnson Controls are the best performers year to date. Cavco, which specializes in factory-built homes, is up 13.5% so far this year. Champion is up roughly 6% in 2025, and Johnson Controls is up 3.3%. Beazer , Hovnanian and LGI Homes are in the basement: All are down in the neighborhood of 20% in 2025. CVCO YTD mountain Cavco Industries in 2025 Gold and copper CNBC TV’s Pippa Stevens will report on copper’s big move. It is actually outperforming gold’s record run so far in 2025. Gold is up 14% this year. Copper is up 23.5%. The VanEck Gold Miners ETF (GDX) is up 31.4% in 2025. U.S.-traded shares of miner Rio Tinto is up about 8% this year. The stock remains 14.5% from the May 2024 high. Freeport McMoRan is up around 3.8% in 2025. The stock is 28.5% from the May high. U.S.-traded shares of BHP is up 3.5% this year. It’s is 20% from the Oct. 2 high. Nvidia Expect more news from the tech giant. CNBC TV’s “Mad Money” man Jim Cramer will be on the scene in San Jose and so will chip reporter Kristina Partsinevelos for Nvidia GTC , an artificial intelligence conference. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will be on CNBC Wednesday. The stock is down 11% in 2025, but shares are up 36% in a year. Nvidia is 22% from the Jan. 7 high. Of the famous Magnificent Seven mega-cap tech stocks, only Tesla is further from its 52-week high. The EV stock reached that height on Dec. 18, and it’s fallen 51% from that level. NVDA 1Y mountain Nvidia shares in the past 12 months DraftKings CEO Jason Robins will be live on ” Squawk Box ” in the 7 a.m. hour. The stock is 28% from the high reached just one month ago on Feb. 14. So far in 2025, it is up 4%. DraftKings has lots of competitors. Flutter , which also hit a high on Feb. 14, is down 20% from that level. Caesars is 39% from the October high, and MGM is 32% from the April 2024 high. Roblox On Tuesday, CEO David Baszucki is on ” Closing Bell: Overtime ” with Steve Kovach, Morgan Brennan and Jon Fortt in the 4 p.m. hour. Roblox is 25% from the Feb. 5 high.
