Ukraine has carried out a brilliant attack destroying as many as 1,000 Russian Shahed drones and more than 1,500 warheads.

It is estimated the value of the weaponry is around £60 million in a successful drone and cruise missile attack by Ukrainian troops.

The massive attack occurred at Russian occupied Donetsk Airport resulting in the ammunition and a fuel depot was “completely destroyed.”

The Russian cruise missiles and drones would have been used on locations across Ukraine.

The head of the Force of Unmanned Systems, Robert “Maydar” Brovdi known as the “Killboard” for the unit said, “The development of this complex target turned into a painstaking reconnaissance operation of several months, assembled from small puzzle pieces.

“This night it was implemented.”

Dosye Shpiona channel reported, “Ukraine struck a major Geran-2 [Shahed] drone base at Donetsk airport with cruise missiles and drones.

“An ammo depot, fuel storage and pre-launch prep site were destroyed.

“Power and comms nodes damaged. Up to 1,000 drones and 1,500 warheads were reportedly on site.”
