Well-established estate agency acquired after bidding war – London Wallet

After a fiercely contested ‘best and final’ bidding process, Sycamore Property has successfully acquired Winnard Brown Group Ltd in Wigan.

This is second acquisition of the year for the Burnley-based estate agency, launched in 2007 by Ryan McCormack, and comes just two months since the firm purchased Falcon & Foxglove, also located in Burnley.

The sale of Winnard comes in the wake of executive director Craig Winnard’s decision to retire.

Julie Drake of Adam J Walker and Associates Limited, who brokered the deal, added: “The North-West is becoming a hotspot, with many buyers registering to purchase in the area.
