Nik and Rosie Davey

The South West branch of Martin & Co is under new family ownership.

Martin & Co Exeter has been taken on by new franchisees and Exeter locals, Nik and Rosie Davey, with previous franchisee Chris Perring retiring after 12 years with the business and more than 40 as a landlord.

Nik’s background is in major construction across the South West, property development and residential lettings, while Rosie is set to move from her current role as a teacher in July to join the couple’s new venture.

Nik said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be part of Martin & Co and The Property Franchise Group’s amazing network of offices.

“It’s been a hugely exciting process for Rosie and I over the past few months since our offer was accepted by Chris and now I’m fully integrated into the business, I can see why the branch’s reputation is so strong in Exeter.

“The team has been brilliant since we came in and I’m really looking forward to meeting all of our landlords and explaining more to them about our plans for the business moving forwards.”

Rosie added: “We’ve always lived in Exeter and know the area so well, so it was such an amazing opportunity to take on a business in the city we love – one we simply couldn’t ignore.

“The process of purchasing the business has been incredibly smooth and we’d like to thank both Chris and The Property Franchise Group for making everything so seamless.”

Eric Walker, managing director of Martin & Co, remarked: “I’d like to welcome Nik and Rosie to the Martin & Co family.

“Their vision and drive for the business is clear, alongside a genuine passion for the city they call home.”
